Recap: Marshall Christian Academy Guardians vs. Providence Classical Academy Knights
On Saturday, Marshall Christian Academy ended up a good deal behind Providence Classical Academy and lost 41-25. While losing is never fun, Marshall Christian Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 1005th in Texas, while Providence Classical Academy is ranked 145th in Louisiana).
Despite the loss, Marshall Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: Melody Hester scored 12 points.
This is the second loss in a row for Marshall Christian Academy and nudges their season record down to 6-6. As for Providence Classical Academy, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2.
Marshall Christian Academy will head out on the road to face off against Avinger at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Providence Classical Academy will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Word of God Academy at 6:00 p.m. on December 28th. Hopefully Word of God Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Tuesday.
