Volleyball Recap: Houston County Wins Going Away Against Hickman County + How To Watch

Houston County hadn't done well against Hickman County recently (they were 0-6 in their previous six matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Fighting Irish put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 3-0 victory. This was a revenge game for the Fighting Irish: when they faced off against the Bulldogs back in August, they had to take a 3-0 defeat.

Houston County was especially dominant in the second set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-12, 25-21.

Houston County can attribute much of their success to Peyton Brooks, who had 17 digs. That's the most digs Brooks has posted over her last seven contests.

Houston County was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hickman County only served two aces.

Despite the loss, Hickman County still got an impressive performance from Kayleigh Gordon, who had 24 digs. Gordon is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least 14 every time she's taken the court this season.

Houston County is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-5 record this season. As for Hickman County, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-5.
