Baseball Recap: Westview Snags Seventh Win in Last Eight Games

Westview got themselves on the board against Trezevant on Wednesday, but Trezevant never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 15-0 margin over the Bears. The result was nothing new for the Chargers, who have now won 20 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Zachary Hickey and Cooper Spaulding did most of the damage at the plate: Hickey went 1-for-2 with four RBI, one run, and one double, while Spaulding went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those four RBI gave Hickey a new career-high. Anderson Cary was another key player, getting on base in both of his plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Westview always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .692. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Westview has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Trezevant, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 14-10.
