Maroa-Forsyth had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Clinton Maroons with a sharp 11-3 victory. Considering the Trojans have won 12 games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Maroa-Forsyth's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-7. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Clinton, they now have a losing record of 13-14.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Maroa-Forsyth will challenge MacArthur at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Trojans are facing the Generals at the right time seeing as the Generals are stuck on a 15-game losing streak. As for Clinton, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Monticello at 4:30 p.m. The Sages' pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so the Maroons' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
