Soccer Game Preview: Back of the Yards College Prep vs. Marist

The Back of the Yards College Prep Bobcats will face off against the Marist RedHawks on Monday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was Back of the Yards College Prep who was credited with the win on Saturday. Fabian Ochoa had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Back of the Yards College Prep.

Marist's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Romeoville 1-0. The win was all the more spectacular given Marist's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 355th, while Romeoville are ranked 144th).

Back of the Yards College Prep is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-1-1 record this season. As for Marist, their victory bumped their record up to 2-5.
