Softball Recap: Burley Bobcats vs. Wood River Wolverines
Burley was the 12-10 winner over Wood River when they last played one another on Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Burley Bobcats fell just short of the Wood River Wolverines by a score of 11-9 on Tuesday.
Halli Vaughn led a balanced group of hitters, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Tylee Ramsey, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
On Wood River's side, Paityn Nelson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up five earned (and four unearned) runs off seven hits. Nelson was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with a triple, a run, and an RBI.
