Basketball Recap: Sayre Takes a Loss

On Wednesday, the Sayre Spartans were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 44-43 to the Lexington Catholic Knights.

Sayre has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-4 record this season. As for Lexington Catholic, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-10.

Sayre will square off against Bullitt Central at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Lexington Catholic has already played their next contest (against Lafayette), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
