Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mullen). They blew past the Cherokee Trail Cougars, posting a 45-0 victory. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Mustangs considering their six-point performance the game before.

Mullen didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Lilly Evans led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by herself.

The win got Mullen back to even at 7-7. As for Cherokee Trail, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-13.

Mullen didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 32-0 defeat against Grandview on the 9th. Cherokee Trail does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
