It was a good run, but Washburn unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Creek Wood Red Hawks by a score of 2-1.

Abigail Epperson paced Washburn's offense, picking up seven kills. Epperson got some help from Kylie Ferguson and her nine assists.

Washburn's loss dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Creek Wood, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 17-5.

Washburn wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-2 win against North Greene on the 15th. As for Creek Wood, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Clarksville on the 15th.
