Lynden has gone 8-2 against Blaine recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Lions will welcome the Borderites at 4:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

On Tuesday, Lynden got the win against Mt. Baker by a conclusive 12-4. The victory continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Mountaineers: they've now won seven in a row.

Meanwhile, Blaine had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past Meridian 11-5 on Tuesday.

Shaylie Daniels and Mesa Puls were major factors no matter where they played. On the mound, Daniels didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Meanwhile, Puls tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. At bat, Daniels went 4-for-5 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run, while Puls went 1-for-5 with two runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, Courtney Roff was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two doubles. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddi Musto, who went 3-for-5 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Blaine was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .412. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Blaine's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Lynden, their victory bumped their record up to 8-5.

Lynden couldn't quite get it done against Blaine when the teams last played back in April of 2024 as they fell 5-2. Can the Lions avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
