Basketball Recap: Wyatt Griffiths' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Delta over Valley

Delta played a tough game on Monday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against the Valley Vikings, falling 62-36. The Saints were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-12.

Delta lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Wyatt Griffiths, who almost dropped a double-double with 14 boards and nine assists. Another player making a difference was Jason Carson, who posted 11 points.

Delta's loss was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Valley, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Delta will take on Turlock Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Valley, they will square off against Amador at 6:30 p.m. on December 2.
