Recap: Apalachee vs. Lanier
Sadly, the Apalachee Wildcats are still looking for their first win of the season after five matches. They were the victim of a tough 4-0 loss at the hands of Lanier on Tuesday. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Apalachee in their matchups with Lanier: they've now lost three in a row.
Apalachee's season is starting to look like last year's as the team currently sits at an 0-5 record this season. As for Lanier, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Apalachee is on the road again on Friday and plays Grayson at 6:00 p.m. on February 23rd. Apalachee's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end. As for Lanier, they will head out on the road to square off against Habersham Central at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
