Recap: McLaughlin Mustangs vs. Crazy Horse Chiefs
The McLaughlin Mustangs scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Crazy Horse 75-13 at home. McLaughlin has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 28 points or more this season.
Leading McLaughlin to victory were Blake Thompson and Mari Richards. Thompson scored 14 points along with six steals, while Richards dropped a double-double on 19 points and 13 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Richards has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Sandee Steele, who scored ten points along with four steals.
McLaughlin's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points per game. As for Crazy Horse, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-14.
McLaughlin didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 45-20 defeat vs. Winner on the 9th. Crazy Horse will be playing in front of their home fans against Edgemont at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
