Softball Game Preview: Manitowoc Lutheran Lancers vs. Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah Resorters

Manitowoc Lutheran is 0-9 against Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah since April of 2016 but things could change on Tuesday. The Lancers will square off against the Resorters at 4:30 p.m.

Manitowoc Lutheran is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game dating back to last season on Thursday. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-5 heartbreaker at the hands of Reedsville. On the bright side, the five- run performance marked the Lancers' highest-scoring game to date.

Meanwhile, the third road contest was the charm for Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah, as they earned their first away win of the season. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Kiel 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Resorters have posted since May 9, 2024.

Lydia Weber spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on five hits and racked up seven Ks.

At the plate, Dyani Lisowe was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Alyssa Lukich also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Manitowoc Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah, the victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-3.
