Baseball Game Preview: North Jackson Chiefs vs. North Sand Mountain Bison

The North Jackson Chiefs will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the North Sand Mountain Bison at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

North Jackson is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against Sylvania. North Jackson came out on top against Sylvania by a score of 6-2 on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Chiefs in their matchups with the Rams: they've now won seven in a row.

Meanwhile, North Sand Mountain never let their opponents score on Monday. They put the hurt on Hanceville with a sharp 18-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bison.

Carson Harvey made a big impact no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only a hit over four innings pitched. Harvey was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.

In other batting news, North Sand Mountain got a massive performance out of Landon Keller, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Luke Reed, who scored three runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.
