Volleyball Recap: Everett Beats Tussey Mountain for Their Eighth Straight Win

Everett waltzed into their game on Wednesday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. Everything went their way against the Tussey Mountain Titans as they made off with a 3-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Warriors also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-7, 25-16, 25-11.

Brooke Hillegas paced Everett's offense, picking up 11 kills. Hillegas got some help from Laynee Cornell and her 17 assists. Cornell was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Everett's win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Tussey Mountain, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Everett will square off against McConnellsburg at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Tussey Mountain, they will venture away from home to square off against Claysburg-Kimmel at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
