Softball Game Preview: Denver City Mustangs vs. Crane Cranes

The Denver City Mustangs will face off against the Crane Cranes at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Crane took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Denver City, who comes in off a win.

Denver City will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Friday, then bounced right back against Compass Academy on Tuesday. The Mustangs put the hurt on Compass Academy with a sharp 23-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won 11 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Crane was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 18th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Brownfield, falling 23-4.

Denver City's win bumped their record up to 17-6. As for Crane, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-14.

Everything went Denver City's way against Crane in their previous meeting back in March, as Denver City made off with a 22-1 victory. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Cranes have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
