Football Recap: Oaks-Mission Takes a Loss

After soaring to 50 points the game before, Oaks-Mission was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They were beaten by the Medford Cardinals 56-6. The Warriors were not able to make up for their defeat to the Cardinals from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Special teams was responsible for all of the team's points. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Carmello Williamson, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Oaks-Mission's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Medford, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Coming up, Oaks-Mission will square off against Pond Creek-Hunter at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Warriors surely won't give up without a fight. As for Medford, they will head out on the road to take on Bluejacket at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
