Football Recap: Johnson Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Johnson lost against Greater Atlanta Christian back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Knights were dealt a 63-7 defeat at the hands of the Spartans. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 451st, while the Spartans are ranked 147th).

Greater Atlanta Christian found their leader in sophomore Michael Miller, who threw for 175 yards and two TDs on only 12 passes, and also punched in a pair of scores on the ground. Another player making a difference was Pierce Wilson, who rushed for 86 yards and one touchdown.

Johnson's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Greater Atlanta Christian, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Johnson will take on Chestatee at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Knights will be up against the War Eagles' rather soft defense (which has allowed 32 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Greater Atlanta Christian, they are taking a road trip to face off against Dawson County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Spartans will be up against the Tigers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 28 points per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
