Baseball Recap: Western Tech & Environmental Science Comes Up Short

If Western Tech & Environmental Science was riding high fresh off their 15-8 takedown of Pallotti last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wolverines took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dulaney Lions on Tuesday. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Wolverines haven't been shut out since back in March.

Travis Knipe was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Western Tech & Environmental Science saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Wes Henry, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Western Tech & Environmental Science's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Dulaney, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-4.

Looking ahead, Western Tech & Environmental Science will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Kenwood at 3:30 p.m. As for Dulaney, they will face off against Towson on Thursday.
