Softball Game Preview: Mason Punchers vs. Harper Longhorns

For the second straight game, Mason will face off against Harper. The Punchers will look to defend their home field on Monday against the Longhorns at 5:00 p.m. Mason has given up an average of 12.9 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Saturday just wasn't the day for Mason's offense. They lost 20-0 to Harper on Saturday. The Punchers haven't had much luck with the Longhorns recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Harper is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-7-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.9 runs over those games. As for Mason, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-12.
