Basketball Recap: Floresville Now 7-1 over Last Eight Games

It's playoff time, and Floresville had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Davenport Wolves on Saturday, sneaking past 53-51. The win was all the more spectacular given the Tigers/Jaguars' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 591st, while the Wolves are ranked 231st).

Floresville has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 17-17 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.1 points over those games. Davenport's loss dropped their record down to 29-6.

Coming up, Floresville will take on La Feria on Monday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as La Feria comes in on 15 and Floresville on three. Davenport does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
