Volleyball Recap: Salpointe Catholic Gets the Win

Salpointe Catholic's tournament run continued when they took on Gilbert on Friday. The Salpointe Catholic Lancers came out on top against the Gilbert Tigers by a score of 2-0.

Dawson Leber paced Salpointe Catholic's offense, picking up eight kills. Leber got some help from Antony Owens and his eight assists. Finally, Lehi Rocha and Alexander Owens kept the team grounded on defense, each having blocked three attacks.

The win got Salpointe Catholic back to even at 6-6. As for Gilbert, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Salpointe Catholic didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Millennium on the 15th. Gilbert will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Queen Creek at 5:30 p.m. on March 24th.
