Pearland strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came within four points of losing the streak, but they secured a 17-13 W against the Dawson Eagles. The Oilers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

Ja'Maurey Champion produced another solid effort rushing for 233 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 11.7 yards per carry.

Pearland's record is now 6-0. As for Dawson, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 4-2 record.
