Baseball Game Recap: Anderson County Bearcats vs. Lafayette Generals

Lafayette hit Anderson County with a seven-run first inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Bearcats might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 10-0 to the Generals, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bearcats of the 8-5 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Anderson County has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 14 of their last 17 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-18 record this season. As for Lafayette, they moved to 25-16 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Coming up, Anderson County will welcome Bardstown at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lafayette, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Great Crossing. The Generals are facing the Warhawks at the right time seeing as the Warhawks are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
