Strafford waltzed into their match on Saturday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They wrapped up 2024 with a 64-50 win over the Norwood Pirates.

Norwood lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Quinncy Vestal, who went 5 of 7 en route to 17 points. The dominant performance gave Vestal a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Jayden Chambers, who went 5 of 9 on her way to 11 points in addition to six boards and four steals.

Strafford is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Norwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-3.

Strafford will head out to challenge Thayer at 6:30 p.m. on January 6, 2025. As for Norwood, they will take on Ozark in a tournament on Monday. Norwood is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.8 points per game this season.
