Softball Recap: Colton Takes a Loss

Colton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Kennedy Trojans, falling 15-3. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, with their most recent loss being a 16-1 defeat back in April.

Clara Weinberger made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Colton's loss dropped their record down to 5-11-1. As for Kennedy, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-8.

Looking ahead, Colton will square off against St. Paul at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Buckaroos have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.13 runs per game on average), something the Vikings will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Kennedy, they will face off against Country Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Trojans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cougars have averaged an impressive 7.6 runs per game this season.
