Basketball Recap: Hackettstown Takes a Loss

Hackettstown suffered their biggest defeat since December 27, 2023 on Friday. They came up short against the Phillipsburg Stateliners, falling 67-43. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Stateliners apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2020.

This is the second loss in a row for Hackettstown and nudges their season record down to 10-8. As for Phillipsburg, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season.

Hackettstown and Phillipsburg are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Hackettstown will face off against Bernards on Thursday. As for Phillipsburg, they will square off against Linden on Thursday.
