Rootstown has gone a perfect 6-0 against Lake Center Christian recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Rovers will head out on the road to take on the Tiger at 5:00 p.m. Rootstown has given up an average of 7.7 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Rootstown is headed out in good spirits considering the team just ended their winless streak on the road against Cardinal Mooney on Monday. The Rovers blew past the Cardinals 21-15. The Rovers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Lake Center Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 12-10 heartbreaker at the hands of John F. Kennedy Catholic.

Cammi Stoltzfus made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Kaya Zook, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.

The win got Rootstown back to even at 3-3. As for Lake Center Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Rootstown took their victory against Lake Center Christian in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 8-2 score. Will the Rovers repeat their success, or do the Tiger have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
