Basketball Game Preview: Capital Bruins vs. Big Sky Eagles

The Capital Bruins will head out on the road to face off against the Big Sky Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Saturday, in a tight game that could have gone either way, Capital made off with a 50-49 victory over Flathead. The win continues a trend for the Bruins in their matchups with the Braves/Bravettes: they've now won four in a row.

Meanwhile, Big Sky came tearing into Friday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.7 points), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 43-35 victory over the Bulldogs. That's two games straight that the Eagles have won by exactly eight points.

Big Sky pushed their record up to 11-5 with the win, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.1 points over those games. As for Capital, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.

Capital was able to grind out a solid win over Big Sky in their previous meeting back in January, winning 51-42. The rematch might be a little tougher for Capital since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
