The Lyons Lions will take on the Hinsdale Central Red Devils at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Lyons is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.8 runs per game this season.

Lyons fell victim to Downers Grove North and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trojans. The game marked the first time this season in which the Lions were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, Hinsdale Central waltzed into their matchup on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Lions 8-6.

This is the second loss in a row for Lyons and nudges their season record down to 19-7. As for Hinsdale Central, their win bumped their record up to 18-9.

Lyons couldn't quite finish off Hinsdale Central when the teams last played on Monday and fell 8-6. Can the Lions avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
