Baseball Recap: River Valley Comes Up Short

River Valley and Mineral Point pushed the score to 16-15 the last time they played Mineral Point, but on Thursday defenses reigned supreme. The Blackhawks fell just short of the Pointers by a score of 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Blackhawks have suffered since April 10th.

River Valley's loss dropped their record down to 7-16. As for Mineral Point, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-10 record this season.

As of now, neither River Valley nor Mineral Point have any future games scheduled.
