Recap: Central Indians vs. Grandview Bulldogs

This season hasn't been kind to the Central Indians, who are still winless after their seventh match. They took a 39-21 bruising from Grandview on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 390th, while Grandview is ranked 73rd).

Grandview found their leader in underclassman Lariah Tucker, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Tucker has scored all season. Sh?ryah Wright was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with ten rebounds.

Central's loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 0-7. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 19.0 points per game. As for Grandview, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central will take on Oak Park at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
