Basketball Recap: Long Trail Picks Up 13th Consecutive Victory

Long Trail came tearing into Monday's game with 12 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.1 points), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Mt. St. Joseph Academy Green Wave with a sharp 46-23 victory. Long Trail has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Long Trail pushed their record up to 17-3 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.6 points over those games. As for Mt. St. Joseph Academy, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-7.

Coming up, Long Trail will square off against Arlington Memorial at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
