Volleyball Recap: Maple Mountain's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Maple Mountain had already won five in a row and they went ahead and made it six on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Wasatch Wasps as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 back in August.

Maple Mountain not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Wasatch between 15 and 16 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-15, 25-16.

Maple Mountain got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Aliyah Marks out in front who had 16 digs and one assist. Marks is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 16 or more in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Olivia Roberts, who had four aces.

Maple Mountain's win bumped their record up to 17-5. As for Wasatch, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Maple Mountain is set to face off against their familiar foe Pleasant Grove at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Wasatch will square off against rival Salem Hills at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
