Basketball Game Preview: Brantley Bulldogs vs. Elba Tigers

Brantley is 9-1 against Elba since December of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Brantley Bulldogs will be playing at home against the Elba Tigers at 4:00 p.m. Brantley has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Last Tuesday, Brantley humbled Kinston with an 86-39 victory. Brantley has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 28 points or more this season.

Jayden Parks was his usual excellent self, going 5 of 12 on his way to 14 points in addition to six assists and five boards. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last three games he's played. Jon Kilcrease was another key player, going 6 for 14 en route to 14 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.

Meanwhile, Elba had to endure a seven-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Red Level by a score of 54-44 on Tuesday.

Elba's victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-9. As for Brantley, their win bumped their record up to 15-2.

Everything came up roses for Brantley against Elba in their previous matchup two weeks ago, as the squad secured a 73-43 victory. Will Brantley repeat their success, or does Elba have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
