Recap: North Star Knights vs. Box Elder Bears
The North Star Knights were the 31-28 winner over the Box Elder Bears when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. North Star took a 34-29 hit to the loss column at the hands of Box Elder. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points North Star has scored all season.
Box Elder found their leader in underclassman Martay Stiffarm-Rosette, who scored 19 points along with eight steals and seven rebounds. Stiffarm-Rosette is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last four games she's played.
North Star's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Box Elder, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-7.
North Star will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Chester-Joplin-Inverness at 6:00 p.m. on February 9th. As for Box Elder, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Centerville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Montana (Centerville is ranked 72nd, while Box Elder is ranked 79th).
