Truckee is a perfect 10-0 against Spring Creek since October of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Wolverines will face off against the Spartans at 1:00 p.m. Truckee will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
On Saturday, Truckee was fully in charge, breezing past South Tahoe 42-14. The Wolverines might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by 21 points or more this season.

Sam Kuntz continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 163 yards and four TDs on only 12 carries. Seth Molt helped out on the ground, rushing for 108 yards.
Truckee's run defense was locked in: South Tahoe could only muster 3.1 yards per carry. The team can thank Lukas Andrew for the heroic effort on defense: he. Truckee didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 9.1.
Truckee didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. Rio Jimenez was the real danger to the passing game, picking up two interceptions all by himself.
Meanwhile, Spring Creek faced Elko in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Spartans fell 28-20 to the Indians. The Spartans have struggled against the Indians recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Truckee will need to focus on slowing down McCoy McArtor, one of several Spring Creek players who made an impact when they last played. He rushed for 131 yards and one score, and also threw for 13 yards and one touchdown. McArtor has become a key player for Spring Creek: the team is 5-1 when he posts at least 80 rushing yards, but 1-3 otherwise. Landon Boyle also helped out as he racked up 102 rushing yards.
Spring Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Truckee, their record is now 8-2.
Saturday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Truckee has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 323.6 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Spring Creek struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 180 rushing yards. There's a good chance Saturday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Truckee was able to grind out a solid victory over Spring Creek when the teams last played back in September, winning 22-14. Will the Wolverines repeat their success, or do the Spartans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
