Baseball Recap: Springville Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Springville can now relate to. They lost 17-6 to the Salem Hills Skyhawks on Friday. The Red Devils' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Springville saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Reid Deede, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base. Preston Hansen was another, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

Springville's loss dropped their record down to 11-15. As for Salem Hills, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-15.

While Springville had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
