After flying high against Soroco last Thursday, Hayden came back down to earth. The Hayden Tigers fell just short of the Grand Valley Cardinals by a score of 3-2 on Saturday. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Cardinals recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Rylyn Jacobs went supernova for Grand Valley, getting 45 digs and two aces. Jacobs is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 16 or more in the last six games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Iris Renteria, who had 12 digs and two aces.
Hayden's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Grand Valley, the win snapped their losing streak at six games and leaves them with a 4-8 record.
After both having extra time off, Hayden and Meeker will shake off the cobwebs and square off against one another at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Grand Valley, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 defeat vs. Cedaredge on the 24th.
