It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Paul VI had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Saint Gertrude Gators as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The win was nothing new for the Panthers as they're now sitting on eight straight.
Paul VI never let Saint Gertrude on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-15, 25-23.
Olivia Stroupe paced Paul VI's offense, picking up eight kills. Stroupe got some help from Amanda Dadio and her 14 assists. Olivia LeBlanc controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.
Paul VI's victory bumped their record up to 26-4. As for Saint Gertrude, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 15-10.
Looking ahead, Paul VI will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Catholic at 5:30 p.m. Saint Gertrude does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
