Volleyball Recap: Saturday's Victory Is Amherst's Tenth in Last 11 Outings

The Amherst Broncos were able to grind out a solid win over the St. Cecilia Bluehawks on Saturday, taking the game 2-0.

Amherst's offense was headlined by Addy Simmons and Libby Mitchell, who picked up nine kills apiece. They got some help from Mackenzie Cochran and her 11 assists. Kenna Hagan controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Amherst has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. As for St. Cecilia, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-7.

Amherst didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Maywood/Hayes Center on the 27th. As for St. Cecilia, they will be playing at home against H&H at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
