Volleyball Game Preview: Zeeland East Chix vs. Spring Lake Lakers + How To Watch

The Zeeland East Chix will challenge the Spring Lake Lakers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Zeeland East's favor as the team sits on 18 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Spring Lake has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.

Zeeland East and Zeeland West faced off in a cross-town battle on Thursday. The Chix blew past the Dux 3-0. The Chix not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since September 30th (when they won 3-0).

Meanwhile, Spring Lake hadn't done well against Coopersville recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Lakers came out on top against the Broncos by a score of 3-1.

Spring Lake found their leader in sophomore Ashlynn O'Donnell, who had 22 assists and five aces. Those five aces set a new season-high mark for O'Donnell.

Spring Lake was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 18 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Zeeland East's victory bumped their record up to 29-3. As for Spring Lake, their win bumped their record up to 9-15-2.

Zeeland East was able to grind out a solid victory over Spring Lake in their previous matchup back in September, winning 3-1. Do the Chix have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lakers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
