Baseball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is Otay Ranch's Sixth in Last Eight Outings

Otay Ranch hadn't done well against West Hills recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Mustangs came out on top against the Wolf Pack by a score of 6-1. This was payback for the Mustangs, who suffered a 6-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Fernando Tovalin spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up six Ks. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Otay Ranch let Victor Bennett and Carlos Martinez run wild. Bennett scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3, while Martinez went 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Those two hits gave Bennett a new career-high.
