Rush-Henrietta extended the longest winning streak in Section 5 Monroe Division I this week by beating Gates Chili, 40-12. The win marks fifth in a row for the the Royal Comets.
Mendon/Sutherland took down Fairport 33-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Rush-Henrietta's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Chauncey Scissum threw for 54 and one touchdown and Daron Roper had 47 yards receiving. On the ground Scissum chipped in 169 yards. Chase Weichman helped Rush-Henrietta's passing attack out by catching one ball for seven yards.
Rush-Henrietta's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Royal Comets feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Scissum has thrown for 554 yards and four touchdowns this season, while Weichman has 17 catches for 232 yards. Scissum also leads the league in rushing with 450 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Royal Comets take on Webster Thomas. At the moment, Rush-Henrietta is in first, while the Titans are in fifth.
The Royal Comets led Section 5 Monroe Division I in scoring this week after putting up 40 points on the Spartans. Scissum in the win.
