Lake Orion will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings (they are ranked 109th, while Clarkston is ranked 24th).
Last Thursday, Lake Orion took a serious blow against West Bloomfield, falling 67-22. Lake Orion has struggled against West Bloomfield recently, as their contest on Thursday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Clarkston waltzed into their match on Thursday with three straight wins but they left with four. They put the hurt on Stoney Creek with a sharp 53-27 win.
Lake Orion's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-7. The slump could be explained by some tough opposition over that stretch, namely West Bloomfield, Stoney Creek, and Clarkston. As for Clarkston, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.
