Recap: Smithville Seminoles vs. Hatley Tigers

After flying high against West Union last Tuesday, Smithville came back down to earth. The Smithville Seminoles fell victim to a tough 12-2 defeat at the hands of the Hatley Tigers on Friday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest runs Smithville has scored all season.

For Hatley's part, Ashlynn Dabbs made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. Dabbs has been consistent recently: she hasn't pitched less than five innings in nine consecutive pitching appearances. Dabbs was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with a double and an RBI.
