Hialeah's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They never let the Miami Springs Golden Hawks get on the board and left with a 15-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Thoroughbreds, who have now won seven matches by nine runs or more so far this season.

Hialeah's victory bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Miami Springs, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.

Hialeah and Miami Springs could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings. The Thoroughbreds (ranked 285th) will meet Coral Reef (ranked 24th) at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Miami Springs will challenge Palmer Trinity at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (465 vs. 112).
