Basketball Recap: Navajo Pine Takes a Loss

Navajo Pine was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were outmatched by the Escalante Lobos and fell 80-15. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-5.

Anthony Sandoval and Nari Slivers certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Sandoval posted four points, while Slivers had two points.

Navajo Pine's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Escalante, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.

Navajo Pine will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Estancia at 7:00 p.m. on January 9, 2025. As for Escalante, they will face off against Native American Community Academy/Evangel Christian Academy at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
