Bayonne came tearing into Thursday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Union City Soaring Eagles as they made off with a 13-4 win. That's two games straight that the Bees have won by exactly nine runs.

Bayonne's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-2. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Union City, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.

Coming up, Bayonne will venture away from home to challenge Ridgefield Park at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bees 4.1, the Scarlets 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Union City, they will host Elmwood Park at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
